Daily productivity, without the noise

Plan today. Focus now.

Add the tasks you want to get done today, then run a Pomodoro timer against them. Nothing is stored beyond today.

Choose a work and rest rhythm, select a task from today's plan, then start your focus session. Completed work is recorded against the selected task.

A simple Pomodoro timer and daily planner

DailyTimer brings a task planner and an online focus timer into one calm workspace. Make a short plan for the day, choose the task that deserves your attention, and start a timed focus session without opening an account or setting up a project. The timer begins with a familiar 25-minute work period and 5-minute rest, while other ready-made rhythms are available when your day calls for a different pace.

This free Pomodoro timer is designed for the work directly in front of you. Your selected task stays visible while the clock runs, so it is easier to reconnect a session with its purpose. When a period ends or you skip it, the app records the result in today's session timeline. That gives you a simple record of focused time without turning daily planning into another complicated system.

    How to use DailyTimer

Start with a lightweight plan, then let the timer guide one focused block at a time. A typical workflow looks like this:

    1. Add today's tasks to the plan. Keep each task specific enough to recognize when you are ready to work on it.
    2. Select the task you want to focus on. The selected task appears below the timer while you work.
    3. Choose work and rest durations. Pick a 15 / 3, 25 / 5, 50 / 10, or 75 / 15 preset, or enter your own minutes.
    4. Start a focus session. Pause, reset, or skip when your plan changes; completed work sessions add their focused time to the selected task.
    5. Review the session timeline and total focused minutes to see how today's work and rest periods unfolded.

    Why use a daily timer?

A daily timer creates a small boundary around one piece of work. Instead of deciding what to do every few minutes, you can choose a task once, give it a defined block, and take a deliberate break afterward. The Pomodoro technique is commonly used as a practical rhythm for sustained attention: work for a set period, rest briefly, then return with a clearer next step.

DailyTimer keeps that rhythm flexible. Use the standard Pomodoro cycle for routine tasks, a longer preset for deep work, or custom work and rest lengths for reading, study, writing, or admin. The daily planner and task timer work together, but neither demands a backlog, a team workspace, or a streak. It is an uncomplicated way to make progress visible for one day.

    Private by design

DailyTimer is a private browser-based productivity tool. No account is required, and your plan, active timer state, and focus statistics stay in this browser on this device. There is no app database collecting a long-term task history. If browser storage is unavailable, the timer still works for the current visit, even though it cannot retain your plan between reloads.

The app is intentionally today-only. When you return on a new local day, it clears the tasks, sessions, and active timer saved for the previous one. That reset keeps the workspace focused on what matters now and avoids carrying yesterday's unfinished list into a fresh day. Learn more on the About page, or send feedback.
